In Pennsylvania, if you want to work armed in a security position, you must obtain an Act 235 license to carry on the job. Act 235 licensing, also known as Act 235 certification, is administered by the Pennsylvania State Police Lethal Weapons Certification program.
The application process for Act 235 licensing involves the following steps:
- Fill out an online application and get fingerprinted
- Pass a psychological exam conducted by a PA licensed psychologist
- Pass a physical exam conducted by a PA licensed physician
Dr. Bruce Eimer is a PA licensed psychologist and certified Act 235 security agent who can help you through all three steps in this process.
